Musikkatalogen
Musikkatalogen is a card catalogue of printed music from the last 300 years.
The catalogue contains printed music from the end of the 18th century until 1975. The catalogue is based on digitisations of old catalogue cards. Some of them are typed, while others are handwritten. The service contains about 38 000 digitised cards with information about printed music in the National library's collections.
How to find the music print
We recommend that you find your way through the alphabetical glossary, which is sorted by composer name. Only some of the catalogue cards have a textual interpretation. Therefore, it is not possible to find all the content using the catalogue search function.

Use the cards!
How did librarians describe the material they handled in the 19th century? What did their handwriting look like and what did they think was worth noting? The old catalogue cards are interesting in themselves. You can freely download and use them however you like.
