Le Grand Jeu – Archiving Subcultures

How do you research and archive subcultures like street culture and DIY aesthetics, and what role can institiutions like national libraries play?

Join us at the National Library for a talk with Christian Omodeo, independent curator and founder of the Parisian bookshop Le Grand Jeu. In this talk, Omodeo will share excerpts from his own journey and reflections on archiving subcultures. He will also discuss the importance of digital tools in preserving the history of underground movements.

This autumn, Omodeo will be putting his database of books and zines online on Le Grand Jeu’s new website, the fruit of twenty years of archival work.

Location: The National Library of Sweden’s auditorium in Humlegården, Stockholm
