A drafting committee at KB handles applications for collaboration. Together with the relevant staff at KB, this committee:

• calculates the cost of the material to be digitised for the project;
• informs the researcher if and when it will be possible to carry out the proposed digitisation, as well as detailing the technical specifications; and
• advises about the costs involved in preparing the physical items for digitisation. This can range from selection and curation to conservation efforts and preparations for photography.
